Still he remains an optimist, marries a nurse and brings up an adopted daughter. Against all the odds and his childlike naïvete, he enjoys his life to the fullest. In 2003, Harvie Krumpet was awarded the Academy Award for the best short animated film.

George and Lennie seem to be a strange pair of guys. George is a lively, intelligent, slightly cynical, although sensitive young man. Lennie is a giant of a man, but he lacks intellect compared to George and many others. He likes to stroke soft things and he often gets into trouble because of that. George and Lennie escape the city and try to make their dream come true: They want to settle on their own little piece of land, where Lennie could tend soft rabbits. Soon enough it becomes clear that Lennie's physical strength and delight in soft things will bring up more difficult situations. An adaptation of the John Steinbeck's novel of the same name.

Sam is a nearly illiterate whimsical eccentric with passion for old Buster Keaton movies. His housekeeping skills make him popular with Benny – only until he finds out his sister and Sam are closer than he expected.

He had no clothes nor IDs and his brain suffered a severe damage in a car crash. The documentary Paul Nadler shot about himself tells the story of his journey from a „motionless body“ to  regaining self-consciousness and of his desire to go on with the life and career he had had before the crash. Both the film's story and visuals are highly original and the film won several awards at festivals all over the world.
